I was travelling for work and had a luxury of staying here at Ambassador Hotel Sultanahmet, it is a very nice and very modern hotel and in my opinion it should be rated 4 stars not less. The staff was amazing and the room was extrememly clean and smelled nicely. Also, we appreciated free transfer service from turkeyTPS as the taxi here is quite expensive.

It was just ok. The hotel was basic, room was clean but the mattresses were uncomfortable fot a senior citizen like myself.At check out the young woman asked how our stay was. I replied it was o.k. but the mattresses were uncomfortable so we didn’t sleep well. No reply or acknowledgement of my observation. I thought why bother to ask if you aren’t going to acknowledge it.

I loved the library in this hotel, I have stayed at a couple of hotels in Istanbul before but they didn’t have a reading room though they were hotels of a higher class. The room we had was very clean and spacious which was also very convinient and we had a lot of space for two. One of many other advantages of staying at the hotel was closeness to great sighseeign places of Istanbul.

A great hotel for the price. Clean, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Garden terrace is nice and relaxing. Close to some good restaurants and sightseeing places including Grand Baazard, Hagia Sophia.

I would like to say special thank you to the wonderful staff of this hotel who helped us throughout the stay and also organized the breakfast for us as we were leaving early morning. It was very kind of them! The staff of the Ambassador Hotel went out of their way to make us feel like special guests. As for the room, it was very clean and very modern looking. We would love to be back anytime soon, hopefully sooner than later! :P

The main gripe was the noise that you could hear from other rooms, I prefer going to bed early but it was not quiet until late night. Besides the location is also busy as this is Sultanahmet. The room itself was nice and cleaned daily. The staff was nice but not very knowledgable about the location and didn’t really speak good English.

We spent an amazing weekend at this hotel, i wish we could stay longer. Nice, clean rooms and the hotel is in Sultanahmet area which I personally like the best as all the sights are very close. They serve a great brekafast in the hotel, but if you wish you can eat out as there are many retsaurants around. Our room was large and the furniture looked like it was new and everything was working properly.

The rooms in the Ambassador Hotel were very pretty, our room had air conditioning, mini-bar, phone and satellite tv, only remote control didn’t work, but they changed it after my first complain. The service was also friendly and helpful, as I was able to check out late in the day and able to leave my travel bag through the afternoon of my check-out date. Thank you very much for everything!

I have personally stayed at Istanbul hotels a few times on business trips. Ambassador hotel has small rooms dated many years!! Employees were reasonably friendly. Breakfast was very poor. Furniture has begun to fall apart.

This is a nice hotel howeever it was too expensive, we paid 110 $ per room. I know there are 4 star hotels in Istanbul (and even 5 star hotels) that offere rooms at the same rate. However it was very close to what we wanted to see and though the price was too high for us it paid off. The staff was friendly but not very knowledgable about the directions in teh area so we had to figure ourselves.

Lived here for 5 days. The rooms are small and looking old. The hotel has a sauna, massage room, fitness room. The reception team was not very hospitable and the prices were too high given the room condition.

Ambassador Hotel is not worth the money we paid for it, the light in our room flickered, and the room smelled funny. breakfast was basic, the only good thing was the location because we could walk everywhere.

Wow, What a hotel!! Within a short walking distance to the Grand Bazaar and tourist attractions. The hotel is very modern and well designed, the bedrooms are spacious, especially the bathrooms. Food was also fantastic.All the staff were extremely helpful. I would definetely recommend this hotel for any stay in Istanbul. Also as for the view from the room it was amazing!
