We were staying in the hotel from February, 26 to March, 4 (2011). In general we have a nice impression – the hotel is situated very comfortably, next to the main sights of the city, the tram stop is not far. The personnel is friendly and the rooms are clean. There are also very good breakfasts in the hotel. But there are some sufficient disadvantages: the promised Wi-Fi lacks in the rooms, when booking the room, we were promised a nice view, but the view from the windows was to a dump... The rooms have a huge audibility and even quiet speech behind the wall is heard very clearly, without mentioning the constant noise from the street.

Location is good, right next to all major sights of the city. It is the location I always plan on using whenever I go to Istanbul. Have stayed in Istanbul hotels multiple times but I was not impressed with the Amiral Palace. It’s just "okay". Our room was not very well maintained. The best things about this hotel, however, were the location, breakfast and helpful staff.

My husband and I have just recently returned from Amiral Palace. It was pleasant here until we got a problem with AC in our room. We asked to fix it and they did, but it didn’t work for long. Customer service was not great. "Basic" describes this breakfast.

Amiral Palace Hotel was wonderful. Staff was friendly , service was efficient, and rooms are clean. Located close to Sultanahmet Mosque, Topkapi Palace; there is also access to great restaurants, the tram, and touring the area.

They should change the carpet in the room where we stayed as this makes a bad first impression when you enter the room. Also ther were no instructions provided on how to use of the air conditioning units. I think the property has great potential but is not living up to it. The desk personnel does not speak English very well.

My job had me traveling to Istanbul and they booked me at Amiral Palace Hotel. I was lucky with my room, and got a standard room, but it was really great. Nice, big room, desk, nice view, etc... I didn’t pay for the room, but I saw the bill was about $110. Seems reasonable for its location and for how nice a room it is. Like I say, maybe not all rooms are the same - but I really liked the place and would go back again with pleasure.

Feb 28th - March 3rd. We stayed here 3 nights with 3 rooms booked, and had very little problems. Free buffet breakfast was adequate, and room rates were very reasonable. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Location was helpful next to historical and cultural centers of the city. Another problem, - it was a little noisy at night in hallways.

Amiral Palace Hotel was nice. The staff was courteous and helpfull. The room was great and very comfortable but AC didn’t work too well, I would also recommend to use different products to clean the rooms because many people have allegries to strong scents.

Stayed two nights while attending a conference. I thought the hotel was above average and really liked the rate. Free breakfast buffet was excellent. My husband, who doesn’t like breakfast food, still was able to eat sandwiches ;) Really liked the area with lots of shopping and restaurants. Would recommend to families.

We stayed here for one night for work at amiral palace hotel and have nothing but good things to say. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. We were served a great breakfats n the mornings. There was no fitness center and no spa but they have nice gardens and a bar, cafe. The best part however was the free shuttle. It picked us up at the airport and took us right to the entrance of the hotel.

I think it is a good four star hotel and the rate was reasonable. I would recommond this hotel. I didn’t have any major problem and the one that I did have (there was no room service one day) was corrected and apologized for almost immediately. The rooms were clean and comfortable, which to me is the most important aspect of a hotel.

Amiral Palace Hotel is in the perfect location if your interested in being close to some of Istanbul’s best bars =) and is just perfect for the sightseeing of the city! Some great restaurants are also at your doorstep. But the hotel needs improvement. The carpet looked old and musty in some places I spotted the paint chipping on the ceiling too.
