Did you know...
…the greatest sultan of Ottoman dynasty, Suleiman I, was… blacksmith by trade. The case is that his forerunner, sultan Selim I, didn’t want the heir to the throne to grow as kid-glove. That’s why little Suleiman learned the trade of blacksmith.

One of my friends who had visited Istanbul some time before, advised me to choose Amisos hotel, claiming it was quite cheap and clean. In general, I was not disappointed by the hotel itself, for the rooms were clean and comfortable and the service was supportable.
The hotel is located at the right place: the trolley stop is near, and the main touristic sites are close to the hotel, so it has been very easy to find the needed place.
Concerning my room I can say that it was comfortable, the bathroom was small, but clean, and, probably the most important thing, there were toiletries. Wi-fi connection was quite good. But I was a little bit irritated by the noise from the Irish pub, but after some time I got accustomed to it.
Concerning the service of the hotel: it was quite good, but I would advise to change their attitude to the guests, especially on Sundays, for it was difficult for me to get breakfast.

We went there for a weekend with my hubby.
After renovations, the hotel positions itself as a Four-star. But basically, this is still a Three-star hotel, only renovated. The rooms are tiny, nowhere to put a medium-sized suitcase. There are simply no hooks to hang outer clothes. Advantages: new nice furniture, romantic design. There are bathrobes, sleepers. Bathroom with shower cabin is pretty good. There is a set of shampoos, gels and razors. There is a panoramic restaurant for breakfast on the upper terrace with a nice view. Breakfast is poor, as in a Three-star hotel. There is a nice lady who serves fried eggs, but that’s all about the service. Disadvantages: it’s very LOUD in hotel. And it’s not only due to the busy street by the windows with trams and very loud cabs. There is a pub on the ground floor. It’s probably a pub for those with hearing difficulties cause the music in the pub can be heard in the entire neighborhood. We had the walls shaken in our room on the third floor. Ear plugs didn’t help at all. The music was on until 1:30 in the morning. So, if you like it to be quiet and silent in your hotel, or if you wish to have some rest after busy tour day, this hotel is just wrong. The stuff was nothing special, just as room cleaning services. Lots of dust under bed, cigarette butts and old magazines. No joke. Complaining isn’t likely to produce results, the desk clerk just gives an empty look "so what?". There is no place to store the luggage. In case of late departure your belongings will be left in the lobby. Nobody is responsible for it, of course. You can stay longer in your room only if you pay the full daily rate of the room. They promised a free transfer to the airport, but they didn’t provide it. The conclusion is that this hotel is not worth your money.
Next time we go to Istanbul, we’ll stay at Best Western Premier Regency Suites & Spa. I give it a thumbs up.

Stayed here for two nights. this hotel has most uncomfortabkle beds I ever slept in. I was only here for a few days but got so many problems with my room. AC stopped working (only worked for the first night). TV was fuzzy. Only good thing I can say is location, it was great and even better than I thought.

my boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and we liked it, it was a nice and very enjoyable stay. We had a Deluxe room and it was in black color, it was very unusual, but very neat. I think they still have some pictures up on the site where you can see it for yourself. Teh staff was very friendly and the breakfats had many choces. Besides, the location was just perfect for walkign around and we have visited al lthe sights we planned and to many of them we could get on foot. The only problem we had, it was too noisy in the hotel o nthe weekend.

IT WAS A VERY NICE HOTEL IN SULTANAHMET, GOOD CHOICE FOR THOSE WHO CAME FOR SIGHTSEEING AS WE DID, WE WERE ABLE TO VISIT ALL MAIN HISTORICAL ATTRACTION AND POINTS OF INTEREST LIKE BLUE MOSQUE , TOPKAPI PALACE MUSEUM, BASILICA CISTERN. wE DIDN’T SPEND TOO MUCH TIME IN THE HOTEL AS WE WERE MOSTLY OUT BUT WE ENJOYED THE QUIET NIGHTS AT AMISOS, AND SUPER COMFY BEDS, IT WAS A GOOD PLACE TO RELAX, RELATIVELY QUIET NEIGHBOURHOOD.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Amisos Hotel in Istanbul, stayed here from March 17th until March 21st. We booked the hotel based on reviews on turkeytps and it turned out even better than what we expected and what we saw on pictures! The room was very stylish, and very large. The bathroom was small but ok for a party of two =) Breakfast was great and very filling! The best thing about this hotel was the location in Sultanhamet, very close to the major sights.

I just returned from a two night stay at Amisos Hotel. I reserved a Deluxe Room. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly, and escorted to the front desk. Even though check in was early they had my room ready for me. The staff is what makes this hotel so nice, they are friendly and care about the guests needs and requests. Room was fancy, painted in blue. But didn’t have much of a view (( In short this is a great luxury hotel,

Overall, it was a nice hotel, but staff was not great. They didn’t smile or say hello many times i walked by. Room was quite small too and bathroom was very small though had good toiletries. The best thing about this hotel was the location, Sultanahmet is the best part of the city if you are in Istanbul for sightseeing. We enjoyed Istanbul but would choose a different hotel next time.

I stayed here in the beginning of March. Location wise , it was just great, near Topkapi Palace & Aya Sophia. I thought that my room and the hote lin general were nicely decorated, but the room was kind of small. I had AC in room, and minibar and the furniture was very stylish, in some old style. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom looked small, but stylish as well. We had wireless internet access in the room and it was very convinient. It definitely looks like the htel has beed recently refurbished. I would love to stay again.

We have recently returned from Amisos Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel itself was not bad, just ok. Good location, nice but very busy area which is why it was getting noisy in the room at times. The best part of the day was breqakfats, cereals, cheese, different kinds of bread and various jams! But the hotel doesn’t have a pool and the rate is quite high.

In general it was okay but I think the rate could have been lower as there are so many hotels in the area, tons of hotels to choose from. However, we had a good stay and the room had a lot of character. Breakfast was good but wasn’t very various. There was also a pub in English style, it was good but also quite expensive.

The hotel was basic, not bad for the price (and wonderful location!). But I was very disappointed with breakfast served on Sunday on the day of my departure. I went to get somehting to eat but breakfast was not yet served though I was told it started at 7:30am. Apperantly, it turned out they only served cereals that morning because when I was leaving shortly after that and there was still nothign else but cereals laid out!! Either they ran out of food or were bad with timing. Or maybe they didn’t expect anyone wake up by 7:30am on a Sunday??

What a lovely hotel in a lovely location! Unfortunately, we only stayed here for a weekend, but i sure wish we could have stayed longer. Room was small but very nice, with a very nice view. Furniture looked like new. Breakfast that was included i nthe price was excellent, with lots local goods. Wi-Fi internet access was also available in room and the signal was excellent. There is also a very nice pub downstairs where we had a 10% as turkeytps clients ,it was great! Room was fully equipped and very well conditioned.
