Chose Barcelo Saray due to its location. I was basically satisfied with the rooms size, cleanliness of rooms and the quality of service in general, however I wouldn’t say that it’s a superb hotel. Just "OK". Rooms has everything but some facilities do need to be maintained better. Breakfast eatable, but not great either.

The best thing about this hotel was the location, very close to major attraction sites. But the rooms in this hotel definitely need to be a little bit updated, and there was poor room maintenance a bulblight was out in our room when we checked in, not a big deal but still it is a 4 star hotel and everything gotta be in order. Teh breakfats was good though.

Barcelo Saray Hotel’s location was great, like 100m walking to Grand Bazaar and close to the tram stop which was very convinent for explorign the city. We had a pretty large room with a view at Beyazit mosque. Breakfats was fabulous too. Sauna was for free for hotel guests. I liked that what these servises (plus free internet inlobby) were included in the price.

I stay two nights at Barcelo Saray... the accommodation was great ... the lobby was great...my room was nice and clean...!! is very close to grand bazaar in walking dostance....is a nice place to stay..!! gueast services reps were nice... and the room had a lot of space..!!

The hotel itself was not bad but i think it was overpriced. Basic facilities, breakfast was poor. However they have very friendly staff and the hotel has a nn excellent location in Beyazit, many stores and restaurants in the area.

Hotel was ok but we had a problem with the asirconditioning system it was very loud and it was annoying, complained to frotn desk they said it was okay but i don’t think so. Also, unfortunately the free transfer service is only provided from the airport to the hotel and when we had to leave we had to take a taxi and it was a rip-off, paid 40 euro to get to the airport. So when you book a hotel, mind the distance to the airport as yo uwill have to pay for a taxi on the way back.

Barcelo Saray Hotel was a great experience, it is very stylish and clean. It is very well located, close to major historic attraction points and very close to public transportation (there is a tram stop nearby). We enjoyed an amazing view at the church and the city from the windows of our room. I loved the sauna and steam room, it was great for relaxation. Breakfast was a great start of the day too. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too that offer lots of choices and very reasonable prices. Very good hotel

Hotel posesses great facilities, sauna, turkish bath and there are so many exciting things to do while you are staying there.
i think it is a good place to spend spring break, or family vacation. The staff is friendll, helpful and honest too. I accidentally forgot my camera in the lobby and they returned it back to me.

We stayed over the weekend in March. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were kindly greeted by the turkeytps guide and had a free ride in their shuttle to hotel. Over the course of the time we were there, there was only one problem we had and it was the AC. This was because it was very noisy, but someone came in later and fixed it. The staff was even nice enough to let us leave our belongigngs at the desk after we had checked out while we went for a walk. The hotel is located in a safe area.

This hotel really has somethign for everybody: main historical attraction places are in walking distance - if you are here for sightseeing; many shops nearby if you came for shopping..Excellent hotel with great amentities, friendly staff and a perfect location to explore the city of Istanbul. The only drawback wis the price as I think it’s a little to high.

Barcelo Saray Hotel was much cleaner and comfortable than the hotel I stayed at during my previous visit to Istanbul. The people at the front desk were courteous and helpful. It was very convenient to have restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance ans the sights were close too. We had a big deluxe room and the view from the windows couldn’t be better!

I think this hotel is good if you are here for a night or two, but not for a vacation unless you plan to spend the entire day out in the city. Our room was small and smelled funny. We had a minibar, AC and a safebox, but we couldn’t use it cause it was locked. We had free wireless internet in room though, I must say it was pretty good. Another advantage of this hotel was its location, very close to main sights of Istanbul.

We only stayed here two nights on business, but wish we could have stayed for longer. The hotel is fantastic, really nice looking. Service is first class, we had a beautiful suite with a huge bed, the room was very bright and large. The sauna and turkish bath were great, nice bar area, and breakfast was really good. Close to shopping and nice restaurants. This was a really pleasant surprise and a great hotel to stay at. Overall a very relaxing stay which we hope to repeat some day.

My friend and I stayed at the Barcelo saray Hotel from august 18 till august 22. The position of this hotel and the hotel itself is nice but the customer service is just terrible. Clerks at the reception don’t really care about guests at all. I was disappointed about that as I am used to staying at hotel very often but I haven’t seen anything like that in a while. I think people who aren’t friendly and don’t know how to talk to people sholdn’t work in hospitality business.

in I think Room 302 and also stayed on May 26th in I think room 316
( it overlooked the sea). By the way, the hotel, its staff, the breakfasts and the lovely piano music each night, made for a memorable stay and a glowing report to TurkeyTPS.com.

It was my first trip to Istanbul and it turned out to be great except for the hotel! I guess I expected a little bit more than what I got. Nice area (it’s very close to historical places and tram stop is nearby), but poor hotel and poor amentities. AC didn’t work properly in my room. Breakfast satisfactory: hot dishes weren’t hot and some food was not fresh.

We lived in this hotel from 29/12/05 till 04/01/2006. The hotel is super, service also. Interior and inside decorations are on the highest level (When you walk through the corridor to your room, and look at the end of the corridor there is darkness, but as you walk ahead the lamps over your head are turning on. The same thong is with escalator, when there is no anybody wlakind on it, it doesn’t move, but if you approch, it starts working. You see, this is the economy of electrical energy:). The htel, I think, is situatedin very lucky district of the city - Beyazit. It is eurpoean part of Istanbul (all people say that asia part is boring, there is nothing to do there and stuff like that). Blue Moskue is seen from the hotel and is very close, 7 minutes by foot, and Santa Sofia is in front of Blue Mosque. Famous Grand Bazaar is on the other part of the street, where the hotel stays. I recommend you to devote 1 whole day for Grand Bazaar visit. Actualy I don’t like to talk much. I will just say you that city is very beutiful, and recommed this hotel.
