The hotel is located in the very center, close to historical monuments, but the room was small and almost with no view from the window. It’s good to stay for a single night. The very important thing was transfer - very convenient when you don’t know how to reach your hotel.

Basically I liked everything. Except the staff who only smiled instead of helping when I needed it. Some cosmetics and expensive medicine have disappeared from my room, but they didn’t even try to find it, only kept smiling! The cleaning was good as well as the food, especially if you are planning to loose some kilograms. But the location was really great!

peccato che per 3 persone ci hanno dato la stanza che e gia piccola per 2 persone aggiungendo 1 letto in piu era quasi impossibile muoversi, quindi il servizio nelle camere questa volta e stato scarso.

We stayed at Asur Hotel from Dec 26 2008 until Jan 9 2009. We had booked one room, which which turned out the be smaller than we expected. Especially the bathroom area was tiny.The sleeping area wasn’t very spacious either, with poor lighting. The bathroom had hairs in the drain of the bath. But the location was great, really enjoyed the sights of Istanbul.

planned to stay 1 or 2 nights at the Asur Hotel, but ended up 3 nights here. Nice rooms, good breakfast; especially the tea! The people are very friendly and helpful - expecially the front office manager. Location is great. Take shuttle from the airport, and you are there!!

Our stay was good, however we asked to be moved because the first room we were offered at Asur hotel had a busted door, but the second was fine. Nice shower, good bed (although a little small). All in all fine.

The location is excellent for strolling downtown or connecting to transportation. The rooms are good size and well lit. There are few restaurants around the hotel. Internet is available, although there are often random people in the lobby there watching television. There was a construction nextdoor when we stayed, but it wasnot very loud (surprisingly). Other guests were the main source of noise at night. The reception desk was very accommodating.

Asur Hotel is a very good hotel close to everything with very good and helpful stuff. The rooms are very nice and very clean with tv, wireless internet etc. Most famous historical sights are just few meters from the hotel and it is great for walking, shopping. Definitely recommend this hotel and looking forward to go back again soon!!!!! Great value!!!

I visited Asur in June ’08. I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Istanbul view is a must! I am returning in Feb ’09. I will most definitely be returning to Asur Hotel. I love this part of Istanbul - I am from the UK, and will be returning here more often, now that I have more opportunity to do so. Very pleased!

The Hotel itself was clean and in a good location, but ..... The female receptionist wasn’t very friendly when we booked in or when we checked out. When we asked for a drink the staff member said she was too busy (s he was reading!!!). Also thought there would be a nice view from our windows but ours didntl!!

Ok the Tv set was only 14 inches, no plazma tv. Plus it wasprovided with a remote control that wasn’t working!! Door keys weren’t working properly either, and other poeple have got the same problem in this hotel.

As for the hotel, the staff were very polite & helpful always making sure to say hello when they saw you. The rooms are very spacious & very clean & the beds are very comfy. The breakfast room was well decorated & very light & airey. The breakfast it self was good. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

In my opinion Asur Hotel is below average. What I loved about it was its location, very busy part of the city, many stores to go shopping. Surprisingly, though it was noisy outside you can’t really hear any noise unless u open window, however I could hear the neighbors watching tv and talking VERY WELL :( So they have soundproof windows but the walls are thin. I literally couldn’t sleep. We had two beds that were twin size though we had a bigger room that our neighbors next door. I think the price was too high, should have been lower for a room like that.

We spent a weekend at the Asur in the beginning of January and were very satisfied. it is easy to walk to all the places in the old city and to Grand Bazaar, which were the reason we came t Istanbul.
the hotel is clean and the rooms quiet and spacious. Breakfast was ok and there are plenty of small cafes in the area with local food.We were afraid of the location in the old citu but it was very safe. I think the Asur hotel is a great value for its price!

Overall my stay was a good experience, evrythign but the breakfast! The dining area was small and busy in the mornings, and I could smell the smoke in the dining area, breakfast was included but they they served all the same stuff every morning so if you staty for more than thre days it’s annoying!! All the same every morning! Luckily therre were many choices to eat out around the hotel.

This hotel is a little tricky to find as its situated in a small street that doesn’t even show on most maps, so I was glad I used the airport shuttle. The hotel is right next to the tram stop, so it’s very easy to get anywhere just following the tram tracks (if you are bad with maps :) If you do so, it will get you right in the heart of Istanbul where all the main historical attractions lie, like Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace etc. Our room was kind of dark, but it was spacious and very clean. All in all, I was very satisfied. Thanks!

I think Asur hotel is a little tricky to find, so I was glad I used the airport shuttle from TurkeyTPS.com and iadvise everyone. Rooms were sort of small and kinda dark but they were clean but I didn’t spend all day indoors anyway. Breakfast was ok BUT my main complaint was the front desk clerk who was rude to me personally, you should fire him and it\d be OK then.

we stayed at asur in 12/15/08-12/19/08. the hotel has realy great location – 3 minutes to galata bridge, 5 minutes to sultanamet district. its very easy to get anywhere.i liked the place for its location, it was really quiet, but there was a couple of problematic points, like our bathroom was kind of broken and i thought the breakfast coukd have been better, however I would still like to be back to asur,this location cost much more then i’ve paid for asur and i dont spend much time at hotel.

The location is very attractive. In the heart of the historical centre of city. All sights are at hand. I’d advise always to have the business card of the hotel with you and never get out without it, otherwise you will get lost. The hotel made us happy, the firm 3 stars. The staff was amicable, receptionists always help. You can free leave your luggage in the safe or at the reception!!!
