Golden Age 1 was just horrible. My rooms stank, cause they use very heavily scented products to clean it. It made it hard for me to breathe. After returning home, I had to spend three days doing laundry to get rid of that smell. Breakfast was very poor. I don’t think I’d like to stay here again cause my entire experience was not very nice.

We were booked into this hote lby our manager.We had a conference at Golden Age 1 and were pleasantly surprised. The meeting room had everything we needed for a good conference, it was equipped with sound system, microphone, overhead projector, television, video player.

I could never have a rest in this hotel cause air-conditioning was broke and it was too hot. I contacted the hotel manager, they had a trouble fixing it and we were without A/C for three days. We also complained to our tour company and we received a plate of fruits and an apology.

Stayed there with my husband for three nights, the positve impression were sauna, turkish bath, massage that was really good, we tried them all. The staff was nice and helpful but the breakfast was dissappointing, bad breakfast service and doo not eatable.

The neighborhood around the Golden Age hotel is pretty busy. All rooms are air conditioned, which is wonderful, and they are also very clean. The man behind the desk at the hotel can help in booking taxis. He booked it in a matter of minutes and also a train ticket, so I didn’t have to go through the hassle of waiting at the train station for it! All in all, my experience at this hotel was enjoyable, and I would definitely look into staying there again if I am ever back in Istanbul!

I have stayed at much cleaner and betetr hotels before. Just a small example: filthy cups, stined sheets, hair in the bathtub!! I complained about it when I was there and the started cleanign my room way much better ,but that’s how it was when I arrived.

For our first night in Istanbul we chose this hotel Golden Age 1 after reading reviews and comparing different sites-we were very happy with our choice, very good and clean room, very good price,great location in Taksim, nice and helpful staff-never tried to sell us anything which is much appreciated ... lovely breakftast, internet We were so happy that we chose it again later on our journey, I do recomment to stay here.

The location of Golden Age 1 hotel is the only major positive feature possesed by this hotel. It is in walking distance from the famous taxim square and taxi, bus and metro stops. The district is warm and seems safe as women are seen to be travelling alone. But the room was dirty, very poor cleaning services, and this is a 4 star hotel!!!!!!!!!!!

I am feeling so lucky, because I could book a room in Hotel Golden Palace 1 three days before my travel thanks to TyrkeyTPS.com ! I spent four nights in Hotel and it was perfect. First of all location is excellent with all kinds of stores just around the corner and all kinds of restaurants a short walk from the Hotel. Also the staff...they greet you in a way you feel at home! The hotel is totally sweet, so everything was clean and bright. For sure, I will stay here in my next Istanbul visit.

Stayed at Golden Age 1 early February 2009. Many pleasant memories. Unpleasant ones, too: 1) traffic noise due to bad location, 2) maintenance not up to snuff (our toilet did not always flush), 3) noise from adjoining rooms. Service from staff was always friendly and prompt.

My family and I thought that the service at Golden Age 1 Hotel was poor. Front desk staff didn’t speak good English. Also, we asked for non-smoking and our rooms smelled like someone has been smoking in it. Window didn’t open and the rpone in the room was missing a part!!!! But if you just need a shower and bed, I guess you can choose this hotel.

Great hotel, has many facilities and activities or guests including a TV hall, turkish bath, sauna masage room, gym, outdoor swimming pool. I’m glad I chose this hotel, it was in the shopping a nd entertainment district of Taksim. My stay at Golden Age 1 was very pleasant. I’d give it 20! :)))

The hotel was OK, but not as good as I thought. the accommodations are pretty basic and my room was far old and worn. Air conditioner didn’t work properly. Room was very small. Both breakfast and location were great.

I wouldn’t stay at Golden Age, even though the price was really good and the location was convinient. The staff at this hotel seems like they don’t know how to treat customers. Being a 4 star hotel, I have expected it to be a little better. A/C in our room was broken and they checked us in this room knowing there was a problem with it. That’s not professional.

I stayed 5 nights at this property on business. The location was convinient but I must say this place is too old. It’s also not the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Housekeeping didn’t come for three days, seriously how much worse could it have gotten?

Stayed a week. My husband and myself. Great location. The best customer service from a hotel we’ve ever had. A little noisy over the weekend. We took advantage of the free shuttle to the airport. There are a dozen restaurants in the area that you can walk to.
