Lion hotel possesses a good location however next time I’d rather book a hotel in sultanahmet. Rooms are very basic, but clean. Rooms are small but that is common for many Istanbul hotels believe me, and unfortunaltely we didn’t have a breathtaking view from the room but that was not an issue for us and we didn’t have any major problems during our stay.

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE TROUBLE WE HAD WITH WATER FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS ONE EVENING, THE WATER WAS DIRTY, COMPLAINED TO FRNT DESK THEY SAID TO LEAVE IT RUN. GOOD THING IT NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN DURING OUR STAY. BREKFAST WAS VARIOUS AND VERY TASTY, ROOMS WERE CLEAN TOO.

Don’t expect anything better that an average hotel and fair customer service. They do their job but don’t go out of their way to provide an “excellent” customer service for the guests. Room was fairly clean and very small though we stayed in a room with two beds. But location is great.

I am lucky to learn about turkeytps because I could book the hotel on this web-site only two days before my travelling to Istanbul, thanks turkeyTPS. This hotel is a gem of Taksim and the entire Istanbul . We loved everything about the Lion hotel in Taksim. A beautiful location in a great city and a few blocks away from enertainment area and restaurants. Highly recommend

i stayed here and was displeased with the hotel. bed was old and the sheets had stains. Coffe served in the lobby is not drinkable. the cleaning service was horrible, and TV was covered with dust. This is not how it should be in a four star hotel.

Two of us stayed here a month ago and we were pleased with the accomodation, we had a room with two beds, with enough space to move around,clean beds, staff very friendly, and helpful.breakfast was okay for our needs, you are in center of thr city, would stay again, central to all tourists routes, a bit noisy but did not find this a problem.

It’s a very nice hotel and the area is very quiet if you are looking to have rest. The only downside was ther speed of the internet as we expected it to be high speed and one day the itnerne twas down at all. Othe trthan that ther is nothing else to be complianing about as our stay was enjoable.

I travel a lot but I have not been to a better hotel before! Turkish customer service is amazing! Clerks at reception always smiling, always ready to help and answer any questions. This hotel deserves the best recommendation. Rooms are spotlessly clean and food at breakfast is teriffic (and included in the price). On top of all, the location is just great in the ehart of Istanbul.
