Mina Hotel [S-class]  

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was ok. I really liked that they give you free breakfast. Location of hotel was terrific but the room was sort of small and not as new as you would like though. Maintanance service was too slow, light bulb was out in my room and I complained at the desk and they made me wait forever. I had to go to the front desk to pick the new one up and change it myself.

This hotel looked better on the pictures. The rooms were fine but not superb. The biggest issue was A/C. It didn’t work! Also, it gets very noisy in the hotel.

we stayed in the Mina Hotel for 7 nights. It was our first visit to Istambul that’s why we worried about our vocations. But I should say that we were really please with this hotel. The stuff is really friendly and is always ready to help. We were able to see nice smiles on their faces. The stuff quickly checked us in even though we came earlier. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large and I was pleased with the hair dryer. There was a minibar, TV, phone, air conditioning. The breakfasts were wonderful: not only rolls, meats, and cheeses, but also different fruit, boiled eggs, juices, coffee, tea and water and a lot of sweets.
The hotel is very close to the historical center of the city but at the same time we didn’t hear any noice when we were in our room.
Thanks to the stuff of Mina Hotel! I hope that if we visit Istanbul again we will stay in this hotel.

Stayed I nthis hotel for 5 nights, wasn’t too bad but could be better. Room was not cleaned evry well, but cleanliness is all that matters to me, of course I don’t expect towels to be new but there should be no stains or anything. Asked a housekeeper to change them and she responed in a rude way, but I just didn’t want to go to front desk complain.

Agree with all the compliments given to this hotel by the previous reviewers. It was fantastic, spotless, quiet, courteous, wonderful breakfast. I will most definitely stay here again if ever again in Istanbul. The rate I got from turkeyTPS for this hotel was a great value.

To begin with, the staff wasn’t very frindly exept for a couple of people, I heard so much about “excellent Turkish service” but I guess I wasn’t too lucky. The sink in bathroom was dirty, missing toiletries on some days!!

we stayed at the Mina Hotel for 6 nights and as we booked it via the internet turkeytps.com we were a bit worried, but we were very very pleasently surprised , it was lovely , the room was very clean, modern, room service came every day and left it spotless, the breakfast was excellent, great choice, the hotel is about 5 minutes to old city part , I would recommend this hotel to anyone . We had a kid with us so we found playground very convenient if you travel with kids.

This was a wonderful hotel. The location is near downtown and not so far from the airport.The hotel is not modern though, it looks a little antique but it’s clean. By the time we got to Istanbul it was very hot and humid. The AC was a welcome relief :-) Wonderful breakfast, the best we had in isatnbul. An exceptional find if you are willing to stay near the city center.

I and my husband were in Istanbul to visit our friends and stayed in Mina Hotel for three nights. We liked everything about the hotel and I agree all the good reviews about it. The friendly staff greet us in the lounge area and quickly checked in. The room was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds, nice bathroom and enough lighting. The breakfast generous and tasty. I can recommend this hotel to everyone will spend some time in Istanbul.

This was the best hotel that I stayed in through my own bookings. The room was excellent, large clean warm and inviting. Meals in a la carte restaurant were excellent and presented extremely well. service was friendly, quick and sincere. nothing was any trouble for any of the staff that I dealt with. Wouyld certainly stay here again and recommend any travellers to Istanbul to do so.

I stayed in this hotel for approximately 2 weeks in summer last year and everything was top: service, room, breakfast, sport center, friendly and available personel, cleanliness, location. Absolutely fabulous ! Also, it’s a very safe place, though the hotel is secured with cameras and guard.

This was nice and clean for a hotel. The price was great .The roof bar is fun late at night. breakfast is typical but quite good and fresh. I would stay again and my wife liked it well enough. The Mina hotel has concierge services, dry cleaning and a playground for kids. The roof terrace is really great for a quiet moment.

was just in Istanbul for the night; my stay here was more for the bed so I can’t speak to the location. However, I found the hotel to be exceedingly bright and cheerful. I stayed in a double with a bathroom, and the room was large, clean and comfortable. There was a roofbar which was nice. The reception area was also welcoming and fun, with a phone and internet. The breakfast was great: the usual rolls, meats, and cheeses, but also fruit, cereal, boiled eggs, juices, coffee, tea and water. Very comfortable and fun. My friend felt unwell and the hotel provided us with medical assistance.

I stayed at Mina Hotel in january with my cousin. we wanted a cheap and easily accessible hotel and got it: this hotel is just across the main sultanahmet area! room was average size and very clean (which is very important to me). Our only problem was the disco the hotel is running, I couldn’t sleep through the music but when we asked for another room the staff was very helpful and put us in a room far from the disco where we had a good sleep.

Good overall hotel close to the main attractions and only a five minute walk to old city. A good quality location with all you need for a reasonable price. We enjoyed the roof bar. Fitness center is really great, massage services in massage room.

I found the hotel clean, friendly and excellently priced with great location. My friend even broke the toilet and it was fixed whilst we were out during the day. Recommend to the travellers.

Stayed in room no 3 for three nights. A large room with a very good bathroom, extra towels and even a phone in bathroom, free internet in room if you have your computer, lcd tv, phone, minibar , AC. Quiet room though windows facing the street (they have soundproof windows). They serve hot tea and coffee in the lobby. Splendid breakfast with different sorts of bread, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit salad etc etc Nice surroundings close to old city, because hotel is in sultanahemt.

Mina Hotel is close to being average. It has a great location, but comfort level is low. Beds weren’t comfortable and pillows too thin. They need to replace both. Street noise was annoying but I guess you can’t escape from it if you are staying in downtown.

Our stay at the Mina Hotel in mid-November was awesome! As we arrived late in the afternoon we had a dinner at their a la carte restaurant. Not only was it delicious but it made our experience at the hotel much more appreciated. They have a huge dining room. The meal was wonderful and well-served. Our room was a nice size and very comfortable. The large bathroom was a nice surprise and I was pleased with the new hair dryer. There was a minibar in room, LCD screen Tv(!), phone in bathroom, air conditioning, iron and ironing boars. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant. I feel prices were reasonable for that time of year. I would recommend the Mina Hotel for a relaxing stay. We were so impressed that we are planning a return visit and staying longer.

Mina Hotel looks nice from the street but rooms are basic. We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready yet and they made us waiit and told it would be ready soon but housekeeping took long time. Wheren’t they expecting us or something?? Breakfas was basic but it was included, good thing we didn’t have to pay for it, cause I wouldn’t have breaksfats in hotel then.

This hotel is at the same level as many european hotels, it is classified as 4 star hotel and I thunk, it has real 4 stars. Very cosy and middle size hotel in historical part of city. From some rooms the view is on the walls of neighbor buildings, so it is better not to live there. You have to note this while making reservation, so your room will not be with bad view. But, on the whole – it is ok?))

I stayed here for 3 nights and I didn’t like it so much. Let’s just say this hotel is a little less than three stars. It should be labeled two. Really bad customer service, they don’t know how to greet guests. As for the room, outdated but clean and very basic. The best thing I liked about Mina Hotel was its location.

We were pleased by the thing, that the personnel’s English was very good. The cooks surprised us with their splendid cuisine.

I would give this hotel 7 out of 10. We had problems during our stay but most of all I was disappointed about staff, looks like the guy fro mthe desk didn’t eevn care too much, eh wasn’t evry helpful, howevr there were some exceptions, the person who was a tcheck-out was extremely nice, great attitude, that’s how it should be. I didn’t like choices for breakfats, and the dining room was packed in the mornings!! So I was eating out for the rest of my stay, waking up for breakfats was not worth it.
