I stayed at the hotel’s standard room in April. The hotel is located in the center of the Sultanahmet area, interesting sightseeings are near. Hotel’s staff was very polite and communicative. I liked breakfast and that my room was cleaned every day. Nice hotel. If I decide to visit Istanbul once more I will choose this hotel again.

Breakfast and sundown drinks served in a rooftop room with wonderful views of the Blue Mosque and the blue Sea of Marmara. From the moment we arrived and were greated by the owner it was a very enjoyable stay. The Saba Hotel was impeccably clean and the staff were warm and eager to provide to service. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts on theterrace and the great location close to all of the old city sights - just a few meters from the Blue Mosque and 250 m to the Grand Bazaar - yet on a quiet rather than busy or touristy street. A wonderful place to stay.

Ideally located for all the sites. We had front rooms with balconies that over looked the blue mosque and the sea. These were very nice. The breakfast area on the roof shared similiar views. The staff were helpful, spoke excellent English and made arrangements to get us to and from airports. Negotiated a very reasonable rate for a stay of seven days. would stay there again.

The Saba is a little hotel just around the corner from the Blue Mosque and the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. The location is superb. You are in easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi. The Grand Bazar can be reached by a longer walk or a quick ride on the Tram. The easy access to the Tram makes the whole city accessable. The rooms are a little small and spartan but two of the rooms have terraces with views of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Maramara. We stayed in one of them, Room 404, and thought it was worth the extra money.
We found the staff to be helpful, competent and friendly. We tend to like to explore on our own but the staff made a few reservations for us and made good recommendations. They were quite happy to set up tours and such and always helpful.

Stayed at the hotel 01/11/08 for 2 nights with my Fiancee and although the rooms are showing some wear, for the price, it is a fair package. Our main issue was the Sunday night, as there was a group of 20+ guests on a party weekend and the room next door had 12 or so people in the room drinking and shoutinh till 5:30am - plus the fire alarm went off twice too. Didn’t get any sleep and when I rang the duty manager, I was told that there was nothing they could do, as the police couldn’t help and there were too many guests to ask to leave, plus I should have expected this, as it is haloween weekend.

We appreciated free transfer but were not very satisfied with the hotel. First, I didn’t like that we didn’t have a large room, no desk. Second, I don’t think the rate was right. Third, the bed was a problem as it was very small.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. I had a couple of complaints. I guess the carpet and furniture have never been replaced ever since this hotel was built. Staff was not very helpful either, not familiar with the location. Security was not good.

I stayed at this hotel once already about one year ago and I enjoyed my stay. I must say that since then this hotel has changed for the worse. It is not as clean as it used to be and customer service feels like it’s getting worse too. I still enjoyed the location (the hotel is in a good spot in Istanbul) and nice interior design for rooms though.

I read some reviews about Saba and it said the staff was nice and it was! It had no sense asking them about anything cause didn’t know (or didn’t want to say !)Teriffic location, great start of the day - breakfast on terrific terrace with a great view. But it was all good until I saw that they put the fruits on the dishes with their unwashed hands!!! aren’t they supposed to wear gloves??

I was a little bit disappointed with the staff and quality of service, though the hotels locations couldn\t be better. I didn’t have a safe in my room for some reason and had to sarry all the valuables with me, it was very inconvinient. The gym (or rather “what they call a gym”) was not very modern either.

We stayed at the hotel last weekend and found it to be very comfortable. The rooms were small but clean and had all the facilities you expect from a 3 star hotel. The Reception staffs were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was busy but the young team coped well and we got served quickly. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a short walk to the Blue Mosque and the sightseeing. I will certainly stay at the Saba again

We have been in the Saba mid October 2008 and already booked for coming March. Perfect location directly in the city centre, no need of cabs or public transportation at all!

Stayed a week. My husband and myself. Great location. The best customer service from a hotel we’ve ever had. A little noisy over the weekend. Be early for the breakfast as it gets very crowded. We took advantage of walking to the old townie downtown. There are a dozen restaurants in the area that you can walk to. We had the best vacation ever.

My daughter and I have just returned from Istanbul having spend a fantastic 2 days at the Saba hotel. We had booked the hotel through turkeytps.com and can only say what a fantastic hotel it was. The room was excellent and on the quieter side of the hotel, which I had requested. It was my daughter’s 11th birthday whilst we were there and the hotel management made it extra special by providing a lovely chocolate birthday cake. The hotel lobby was magnificent and the staff are very friendly indeed. We dined at one of the several restaurants nearby and the food there was of a very high standard. The breakfast the following morning had more than enough choices even for the fussiest of eaters and it was all very well cooked. Our stay at the Saba was very special and I would certainly recommend this hotel as the location is just a short walk from the historical attractions. We hope to return in the future.

I have just got back from staying in Istanbul for a weekend break at The Saba Hotel.I must say this was a very nice hotel indeed, Rooms were big and the bed was HUGE....superb location and a 2 minuite walk to the sights. Hotel reception was fast. Room service was very Slow, and we had to call twice before we got what we requested. The breakfast in the morning was typical. However the hotel is very clean nice deco, everyone is friendly i was reccomend this to anyone. Over all we had a great stay here and would return to this stylish 3* hotel......

The room was lovely, a nice view of the sea from the terrace. The room has a very nice shower and comfortable bed. One thing I would suggest though is a fan in the room because it was a bit hot. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and on our last day we left before breakfast and they have prepared a take-away breakfast for us.

We stayed for a long weekend and used the hotel as a base to reach the centre of Istanbul and historical sights. Very close to the Blue Mosque and other sights so walking was easy. The staff are charming and went out of their way to look after us. The Saba Hotel has a wonderful roof terrace. Rooms are basic but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The sheets and towels were immaculate. Overall a good choice for Istanbul on a budget.

Maybe if you stay alone than the size of the room would be ok, but we had kids with us and though the room was a doublebedded room it was still the size of a single!! This price is a rip off cause rooms are small and staff is rude.

The rooms are as advertised, very small, and perhaps a clean behind the radiators would help. However, you get what you pay for. The beds were clean and the toilet was clean, and nice fresh towels daily. The amount of time in the room was minimal, just for sleeping in really. What swung it for us in this hotel was the staff. Very helpful, very informative and always smiling.!!! Their recommendation of a local restaurant made it for us. One of the best family cooking restaurants we have ever eaten at, and a few minutes walk from the hotel. Yes, for a budget week-end we’ll be back.

The location is excellent but it’s about it. Service people were not so friendly and I don’t agree that the hotel was clean. My room was close enough to the street and therefore it had no sense to open windows. It smelled like smoke in my room which was supposed to be non-smoking.

Istanbul was the beginning our our trip, the hospitality, care and friendliness of this hotel was a wonderful beginning to our trip. The rooms were small but had been recently renivated with everything one would need. We loved the location, great walking to all sights and restaurants. We dined a couple of evenings at the restaurant near hotel which was quite nice and the breakfast always had a nice assortment of cereals, sweet rolls, breads and loved the fresh cheese put on every table. Thank you SABA you are a great find.

the hotel was only a two minute walk to downtown. The room was a little small, but very clean. The hotel is handicapped accessible which is a great plus. The staff was extremely helpful. Tea served any time of day for free in the lobby. Fresh newspapers, nice TV in the lobby. Rooms had everything we needed, hair-dryer, TV, AC, desk, internet, telephone, safe. We enjoyed the roof terrace, the breakfast was also very rich. They even have a playground for kids which was very convenient for our family cause we had a kid with us. Its a little gem in central Istanbul. We would like to be back some day.
