Santa Pera Hotel 

We’re staying at this hotel in May, 2010. It is a classical three star hotel. The room equipment is quite usual, we didn’t have any complaints concerning our rooms. Daily cleaning changed the towels every day. There’s Russian TV channel, we were very glad to watch Victory Day Parade. Breakfast was good, but ordinary and unvaried. It was quiet in our room. The hotel stands between two districts. Closer to the bay the district is not very safe, even the police does not often go there. If you go up, you’ll see the famous Istiklal Avenue with its shops and cafes. It is always crowdy, so if you wish to see it in all its beauty - go there in the morning. At 10 am it is clean and almost empty. If you go to see Istanbul - this is definitely a good location. You must choose other district only if you came for wholesale shopping.

If you want to stay in Istanbul, I’d say this is a decent place. The hotel is quieter than you would think being in Taksim. Poor front desk service. Decent hotel facilities, but outdated, you could tell. But other than that it was OK.

In my opinion Santa Pera doesn’t correspond to this class of hotel (4 stars). It has a great location, very close to restaurants, short walking distance to stores, but the level of service leaves much to be desired..i had an issue with the guy at the reception...rooms were very small. So, don’t expect much here.

CLEAN ,FRIENDLY AND CHEAP.NEED I SAY MORE??

Great location, right in the center of Istanbul, but very quiet. The atmosphere in the hotel was nice. We tried breakfast, but it wasn’t great. Also, we were very surprised to find that they didn’t clean our room every day.

Just returned from 4 day break in Istanbul. The hotel is a few minutes drive to the Blue Mosque and other sights. Close by there are many shops, bars and restaurants.Rooms are small. If you spend all day sightseeing, as we did, you only need a clean bed and facilities to wash and change with a simple continental breakfast in the morning.We found the hotel fits all these requirments and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend highly.

I was not very pleased with the hotel. Excellent location, nice lobby but rooms aren’t clean and staff not competent. I didn’t like their breakfast, however there are many dining places in the area.

We spent a week in the Santa Pera from 12th to the19th August this year, We were well satisfied with the hotel, which is ideally situated in the Beyoglu center. We met many interesting people there English, Americans, Italians and even a family from the Phillipins who had visited the hotel on anumber of occasions.All seemed satified with the hotel & it is to be recommended.

Friendly staff and good airco. Dissatisfied on room cleaning staff. I would rate this hotel 2 or 3 stars.

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend, so did’nt spend much time here, but the rooms are small but clean TV and own small bathroom with shower, staff gave us some good advice about travelling around Istanbul, and also recommended some good places to eat, on the whole if your not banking on spending a lot of time in your room you will get value for money out of this hotel, and by the way its right in Beyoglu which is handy to get in and around Istanbul..

My wife & I enjoyed our stay there, particularly because of the location, which we consider very important –very close to center of the main shopping area,restuarants and cafes & by the cathedral. So many of the hotels are situated quite some distance from the centre making movement difficult without transport, or taxis. Another grat advantage about Santa Pera is its a la carte restaurant, which we found great. Hotel has ATM machine, dry cleaning service, wonderful garden terrace, free internet.

We stayed in this delightful hotel over Christmas and New Year 2008-2009 and had a wonderful time. Although we had a modest room on the first floor it was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a view over the town. The hotel is situated in the town square and is only a few minutes drive from the nearby historic attractions which have links with other major destinations in the area etc. The Gardens Terrace is just wonderful and a ’must’ to visit. We were very pleased with the food and service and impressed by the great effort made to provide amusement and entertainment, as well as fine food and wine, on Christmas day and New Year’s Eve. We found the reception staff particularly welcoming and helpful - without their timely help and advice we should have missed several of our excursions. In our experience we believe the Santa Pera to be an excellent hotel and confidently recommend it.

We stayed at the Santa Pera Hotel for 4 nights and would thoroughly recommend it. Our double room was large, clean and comfortable and the service was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The price included free buffet breakfast, daily fruit, cocktail and internet which made it very good value, and the garden terrace is very nice. We really found the Santa Pera hotel experience really delightful and would not hesitate to recommend it.

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in Beyoglu. The staff are friendly $ polite & always helpful. Food is excellent & the free buffet breakfast is worth getting up early for. International calls are expensive so be careful. Enjoy our stay. We did!

Brilliant Hotel We had two wonderful days here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lobby is fantastic. The rooms are well set out. Set menu for breakfast was limited it could be improved a little, that is the only complain, overrall it was great.

Santa Pera hotel has a good location in Beiogly nearby the main attractions of Sultanhamet. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the breakfast was OK: Ham,cheese, jam, bread..The main impression is: Good value for money. We visited Istanbul in January, and I think it was too windy. Visitors should rather try the sprinng in Istanbul.

For two college students on vacation in Istanbul, this place was perfect. The staff was extremely helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was great, downtown of Beyoglu! Free wireless internet is available in the hotel, but be aware many rooms do not receive a signal, so you often have to go down to the lobby areas for a strong wireless signal. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable -- we had a great time overall.

We stayed one night in a double room. It was clean, spacious, well appointed with nice bathroom. Lots of windows that can be opened. Very comfortable. The breakfast, very good, served in a lovely old high ceilinged breakfast room. Go early, as it was very crowded. Free internet service is a plus. One complaint: you have to take a taxi if you wanna see the downtown sultanahmet. All in all, good value for money.

even with the miserable exchange rate from the US, the value was excellent. Perfect location, delicious full breakfast included in the stay. Excellent all around!!! Bottled water always in room, tea and coffee always served in the lobby any time of day. Excellent a la carte restaurant.

We ended in Santa Pera hotel and we love it. We have stayed a few times, in winter and in summer. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with stylish furniture. It is nice to have a minibar in room, split AC, fridge, free internet, safe if you need it. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is very good and what a nice room. we are going back this March.
