Santa Sophia Hotel [S-Class]  

Отдыхали с 10 по 12 июня 2011 года.С точки зрения соотношения "цена-качество"-очень неплохой вариант.Такие недостатки как старая мебель в отеле,удручающий вид из окна и ожидание порядка 5 минут,когда из душа наконец-то пойдет горячая вода, перекрывались гораздо большими достоинствами:близость к основным достопримечательностям и трамвайной остановке,вкусные(хоть и однообразные)завтраки,а главное-очень обходительный персонал.Дело в том,что заселение в отеле предполагается с 13.00 дня.Мы прибыли в гостиницу в 7 утра.Нас без проблем заселили раньше времени,все разъяснили и даже пригласили на завтрак(хотя в этот день он не предполагался,у нас было оплачено 2 завтрака,но получилось 3).Мы случайно разбили стакан в номере,сообщили на ресепш,нам заявили,что нет проблем.Попросили дополнительные полотенца-тоже нам их выдали,так что для не особо притязательных туристов-идеальный вариант.

Hotel was really very nice. We enjoyed our time there. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our rooms were clean. I would go there again. My mom said that she feels if she were at home. I would stay there again! greeting to the friendly staff

This lovely hotel has it all and is a great value. Great location, comfortable rooms, caring staff. Been to Istanbul several times, seen it all, Sultanahmet is my favorite part of Istanbul.

well, the pictures of the room are more beautiful than real rooms, however the hotel has a great location, have visited all the sightseeing places, taking into consideration that I don’t really like to spend too much time in the hotel, I was glad I made this choice and stayed at santa Sophia because the room rate was great, if you think of it, don’t expect a 5-star facilities if you pay 40 euro per room, you’re getting what you pay for.

Have just returned from a couple of days at hotel. Staff rather indifferent. Not the best that we have stayed in not really worthy of three stars.The central location was its saving feature.

The hotel faces to panoramic sea view, clean room, delicious food at the fish restaurant nearby and nice friendly & helpful staff in the hotel!

Good design , clean and spacious rooms . But too much noise from the other rooms!!! For this money our room should have been almost soundproof!!!

This hotel can be rated as good. It is situated in Sultanahmet area, with some rooms overlooking the Marmaar Sea. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. . The staff speak very good English and are courteous and helpful. Although breakfast wasn’t very rich but there are many restaurants in walking distance, loved the fish restaurant next to hotel! The hotel justifies its 3* rating.

I was on a budget and at these prices I really wasn’t expecting much, but have to say this place is not at all bad ! Clean good size room, comfy bed, helpful staff, and excellent breakfast (locals come here for it too). All just a few mins walk from the Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Santa Sophia. Go book - it’s Istanbul’s best kept secret! :)

We stayed here in Dec 2008 and enjoyed our time at the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and although nothing fancy they are cleaned every day and are bright and modern. All of the staff from the room attendants to the receptionists were very helpful and friendly. It is ideally located for the city centre, not far from the tram station and also within a short walking ditance to the sights. I would recommend that you request a room with a view at Marmara Sea. My only complaint was the lack of vegetarian food but that was a problem in many places. Definately worth staying at if you are on a budget and want to be near the centre and sights.

stayed in this hotel in june the bedrooms are awful small for a big guy like me and depressing.

Pleasantly located in the center of sultanahmet yet close to tram stop / Pleasing clean well appointed room with an amazing view at Marmara Sea. Friendly efficient staff(Dining room hostess went out of her way to give my daughter a small gift) As parents with small child visiting just before Xmas, we would recommend this hotel, for us it was outstanding value for money. \

My husband and I am decided to go to Istanbul in November 2008 for a much needed 2 week vacation. We stayed the 2 weeks in this hotel. It was more than we expected. The rooms are very comfortable; there is a bedroom; a living area with a small frig; the bathroom; dressing area; and a small area with a desk. Actually, the room is more like a small apartment. It is was very quiet in that part of the town. There are no traffic noises; no loud people talking in the hallway. We would give this hotel 5 stars; this is the top of the line in hotels. The room rate was quite reasonable. We had no difficulty catching the tram to go sightseeing other parts of Istanbul. If you are planning on spending time in Istanbul, we highly recommend this hotel!!

It is a three stars hotel and it lives up to expectation. We stayed there on a Friday night and the rate that we had was excellent, about €50 for a room! It is in old city centre, a short walk to the tram station. Although our room faces the road but it is quiet at night as it was not very busy outside.

the room was cold with no spare blankets, noise from the street kept me awake most of the night breakfast was a farce...does anyone want a hard boiled egg every day? i would not like to be back, however this hotel is much better than the one we’ve stayed before, and the price is a bargain, you can’t beat it.

Myself and a friend booked this hotel online, it was excelent, the facilities and staff were above average, only 5 mins to sightseeing places, and the surounding shops and restaurants, well worth the cost.

Rooms were very disappointing. In need of a good standard of refurbishment. Rooms felt damp and we did not want to unpack and put any of our clothes in the wardrobe/drawers. Had to ask for extra pillows and blankets which were also kind of dirty. Bathroom had hairs in the tub. I should have spent a little more and get a good standard of service and cleanliness. The only advantage of staying in the hotel was that it was in the center of Sultanahmed area, which is the best part of the city in my opinion. Istanbul is beautiful though.

this hotel has all services that is written here. I was satisfied with that. I didn’t liittle bit old decorations, so I advice hotel to change them

it was my first trip to Istanbul. Everything was solved at the last minutes and for 2 nights at the hotel it was basically all the same for me. I am not choosy, but all the same it impressed me. There is a set of suchh hotels and they go successively one after another along all the streeets of Istanbul. Santa Sofia is a small hotel. It is situated in the city centre and it is convenient to reach all the sightseeing. it is easy to reach quay and Grand market. Nearby, there is a lovely small restaurant with good meal and working almost till the morning. There are a lot of shops and stores. Especially I liked Koska helvasi. They have amazing helva and sweets on sale. A bath at the hotel and hot water were available, the hair drier was not present. Breakfast: the hot dish was brought, when I practically finished it (I had to gorge on tea and a roll with eggs. The hot dish consisted of fried potatoes and sausages. So, a snack is provided. The boys at the reception were precautionary, all the requests were executed.

Otel Santa Sofia is located very successfully - in part of the area Sultanahmed. The hospitable attitude of the attendants amazed us. We lived on the 5th floor; Marrmara is seen from the window. Certainly, the breakfast did not differ of a special variety, but it was quite enough for us. The room was cleaned regularly. during settling, we were offered some roms for choice, all our requests were considered very closely. Near the otel there is a small fish restaurant where very tasty fish on coals is prepared

Santa sofia hotel has very lucky location in the region of Sultanahmet square. What was astonishing is the service and relation of personnel, they behaved like our relatives!! We stayed at 5th floor, the view from the window was on Marmara sea. Breakfast didn’t include wide variety of products and dishes but we were satisfied with it. Cleaning was done regularly. While check-in we were asked to select the rooms we wanted, our advices we taken into consideration. Just in 10 meters from this hotel there is a fish restaurant, where we like to have lunch, the dishes are very splendid. Visit it, recommend everyone

we stayed there for 2 nights in period 28-30/12/2008. This hotel should be 3 stars but that dates from many years ago looking to the inside of the rooms. Old bathroom, old furniture and simple beds with only one sheet over the matrass. Blankets (not very hygienic!!). Nice point is that the hotel is situated in the downtown, but that’s all about it.
