Istanbul UFO Museum

There are many museums in Istanbul, you can come across very unusual ones - for example, the Museum of Calligraphy or the Toy Museum... But this one is the most unusual. And not only in Istanbul, but in the whole world. After all, there’s a museum of extraterrestrial civilizations in a building located at Istiklal Avenue, Taksim district of Istanbul...

First, the place where the museum is located. It is quite traditional and well-known among those who know and love Istanbul. Taksim is a hill overlooking the sea, a place where many old museums and churches, monuments and attractions are situated. In the middle of Taksim Istiklal Avenue is located; it has hundreds of cafes and restaurants, galleries, clubs, bars and shops on the sides. There are four museums of this kind in the world. But in the Middle East, Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe this is the only museum, and the Turks are very proud of it. The museum was opened in 2002 and immediately became famous among the local press and citizens, writing their testimonies about facing with alien flying objects.

What can you find in this museum? Unfortunately, you won’t find aliens among the exhibits, but the exhibition itself is really striking. There are documents, photographs and evidence of all those who faced a UFO. There are also models of different types of UFOs and much more... The museum is open every day from 11:00 to 17:00, except Sundays (on Sundays - from 12:00 to 19:00).
