Sabri Artam Vakfi Antique Automotive Museum in Istanbul

Every rich family has its own museum - opened with their money, dedicated to Istanbul and kept on the donation of the family who had opened this museum. These museums include the Sabri Vakfi Antique Automotive Museum.

A visit to this museum will be a real joy for the amateur of technics. Here is one of the largest collections of antique cars in Europe and the largest in Turkey. More than one hundred and fifty cars - the collection is replenished constantly - were collected by wealthy Istanbul family Artam for more than one decade. This museum is not some kind of a "private shop". It was officially registered by the International Federation of Antique Vehicles.

What a visitor will see in the museum? The greatest part of the collection are motor cars. One of the oldest is 1907 model Panhard-Levassor. Besides, there are 1912 model Mercer, 1926 model Bugatti and 1929 model Packard. In addition, the museum houses an original collection inside the collection - a significant number of "Ferrari" cars and also - exclusive models of Maserati, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lamborghini and many other cars of different models.

Antique Automotive Museum is located in the Istanbul area Cengelkoy. This is a large five-story building which inspection is better to start with its basement. There are cars that have forty years and less, on the second floor - fifty-year-old cars, on the third floor - those cars whose age has more than half a century. On the roof of the museum one can see models of railcars.

This museum is open every day from 10:00 to 19:00 except Sunday.
