How to get steamed thoroughly in Finnish Sauna - Turkish-style
We got used to the fact, that sauna has Finnish origin. To tell the truth, in contrast to cold Finnish guys, this "girl" is very hot. And so much hot, that warms us for centuries. Oh, who doesn’t like sauna? Everybody loves it! And everywhere – even in Istanbul, being famous for its baths, there are plenty of saunas. To be honest, most of them are inside Istanbul hotels. So, saunas are liked even in distant lands. But we want to mention that very few persons know how to use sauna. Do not hurry up
If you don’t have time, - just twenty-thirty minutes – so do not even start taking a bath. This is a long process, and brings the needed benefit only if you spend in sauna corresponding amount of time. Otherwise, instant rise-up and rise-down in body temperature in the sauna of any hotel in Istanbul will bring you nothing only will make your heart heavy.
Take a shower
A lot of people, for some reason, come to sauna for washing. It is totally wrong. People come to sauna for getting steamed. And you need to wash yourself beforehand in the shower. Only and only if your skin is clear, steam effect is going to be complete.
Get steamed thoroughly and often
Spend in Steam room 5-7 minutes, not more. Do not climb on the upper berth at once, you can do it only at the end. Get steamed often, but by short periods.
Plunge
Every time you get out of sauna, take a shower or plunge into a swimming pool. Then, spend some time under the open-air. It is considered as the best way of hardening human body.
Use brooms
Contrary to spread misleading, that brooms are not used in sauna, you may – without fail – do it. But, not earlier than second entrance in Steam room. During the second run, tap easily yourself with broom. Not too hard - it will be more useful for the skin if you only stroke you body with the broom. It is widely used for weight loss.
Drink a lot
But, it is clear, not alcohol. Fruit drinks, kvass, water, mineral water without gases. Drink often, but by small amounts. It is forbidden to drink very cold drinks – it is harmful for throat. Let the drinks have room temperature.
Sit
If you will stay a lot in sauna, so the pressure on your legs will be very high. It is harmful for veins and capillaries. So, it is better to sit in sauna, for this reason there are berths in steam room.
Refrigerate a little
After the sauna room, sit a little bit in waiting room for the reason that your body temperature become normal, the same as before entering the sauna. Drink some water and then put your clothes on. Hope you enjoyed your bath!
