How to prepare for the trip

If you fly by air

documents necessary for the flight. Check the carriage (the special basket) and make sure it is strong, well ventilated and has the sufficient size. The carriage must have the bright inscription: "LIVE ANIMAL". Indicate also your address. Before the flight feed your pet, but give it twice less than usually. The sedatives are not recommended for the flight - the pressure might fall, and because of this intake the heart might stop.
If you travel by train
If the trip is not long try to choose the time, when the trains are not full. Small dogs may be sitting in the laps of the owner, the large dogs are not allowed to sit on the seat. If the trip is supposed to be long, take into account the time of the station to manage to have a stroll.
If you travel by sea
Many pets - dogs and cats - suffer from sea-sickness. There are special pills for them. Such ones need to be prescribed by the vet. For example, the sedative acepromazin. It has a very strong action, so do not astonish when your pet starts behaving like the drunk. The medication cannot be taken by the animals with the cardiac failure and epilepsy.
If you travel by car
Take the additional dog’s lead and the collar as well as the bedding and the coverlet for
the car. During the trip it is advisable to feed your pet with its usual food and give it fresh water.
